To The Point

As much as people complain about the digital age dumbing down our communication, there is something to be said for wit found in short doses. Everything’s more compact – our phones, our computers, our words. Now you can win an award for it. Also, the One Sentence Archive is host to some of the best one-liners this old girl has heard.

Breathe Inn

When Winter hits NYC, I often think how nice it would be to have a little house somewhere just to get away. Breathe Inn seems like the next best thing – it’s like going to your fabulously stylish friend’s house in the country + room service and no hostess gift required. Interestingly enough, it was started by the original (although no longer involved with the company) founder of Triple 5 Soul. Inspiring.

Ruby Bespoke Helmets

I want to get to a point one day where everything I own is bespoke. I recently found a tailor that literally works magic within his tiny storefront in Manhattan, I mean it boggles the mind what he can do with needle and thread. New suit, no problem! Ruby extends customization to the world of helmets – my Denver peeps know about the scooter boom – be safe and look good doing it. So cool, you can create your own look by combining colors, graphics, lacquiered, metallic or glittered paint, rubber or calfskin trim…the list goes on. I’d like zebra print with sheepskin interior please…add glitter.

Sunyno Beads

Going bead shopping is like going into a candy store – I want one of everything! Possibilities are endless, and it’s so gratifying to hear the ol’ “where’d you get that necklace?” Oh, this old thing? I MADE it.
I find a new Etsy lust probably every day, and this is no exception. Peruse Sunyno’s bead collection, or if you’d rather, peep her ready-made wares. I want one of everything.

Mimobot

There’s always an excuse to accessorize, and why should transporting your media be any different? Found Mimobot while surfing for holiday gifts, and as far as USBs go, they’re the cutest I’ve seen. So cute in fact, that you can even buy yours a sweatshirt. Good stocking stuffer for that millennial on your list.
